Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State and also perused the records.
Grievance of the petitioner is that the Election Petition being Petition No.T202112560102395, (Shabana Vs. Bhuri), under Section 12-C of the U.P. Panchayat Raj Act filed by the petitioner on 01.06.2021, was not being decided. A prayer, therefore, has been made for a direction to decide the aforesaid petition expeditiously.
Learned Standing Counsel states that all endeavour shall be made to decide the aforesaid petition.
Without entering into the merits of the case, it is being directed that the Election Petition being Petition No.T202112560102395, (Shabana Vs. Bhuri), under Section 12-C of the U.P. Panchayat Raj Act filed by the petitioner on 01.06.2021, be decided, unless there is any legal impediment, within a period of six months from the date when the respondents are served. Copy of this order would be duly certified by the petitioner's counsel.
With the aforesaid observations/directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
