Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State and also perused the records.
Grievance of the petitioner is that the Election Petition being Case No.T202105200107926 of 2021, under Section 12-C of the U.P. Panchayat Raj Act, was not being decided. A prayer, therefore, has been made for a direction to decide the aforesaid case expeditiously.
Learned Standing Counsel states that all endeavour shall be made to decide the aforesaid case.
Without entering into the merits of the case, it is being directed that the Election Petition being Case No.T202105200107926 of 2021, under Section 12-C of the U.P. Panchayat Raj Act, be decided, unless there is any legal impediment, within a period of six months from the date when the respondents are served. Copy of this order would be duly certified by the petitioner's counsel.
With the aforesaid observations/directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
