The petitioner has obtained a passport. Ext.P1 is the copy of the relevant pages of the passport. The petitioner is now employed in Riyadh. The petitioner seeks to correct the entry regarding date of birth. The petitioner made a request to correct the date of birth through E-mail communication. The passport authorities did not act upon E-mail communication. Therefore the petitioner has approached this Court.
2. Since the petitioner is employed in Riyadh he can approach the Embassy of India, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the first respondent herein. The first respondent shall act upon the request of the petitioner to correct the date of birth entered in the passport. If the petitioner is able to substantiate his claim based on genuine documents, the same shall be W.P.(C) No.20906/2014-K.
2 considered, in accordance with law, within a period of two months.
This writ petition is disposed of as above.
