The petitioners are working in different posts under the Kerala Agricultural University. They have approached this Court aggrieved by some of the clauses in the orders issued by the Government while implementing the recommendations of the IXth Pay Commission.
2. When this matter was taken up for hearing today, it is brought to the notice of this Court that the matter is covered by the decisions of this Court in W.P.(C)Nos.9276 of 2013, 14045 of 2012 and connected cases.
3. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of in terms of the judgment in 14045 of 2012 and connected cases, declaring that the petitioners are also entitled to similar relief. The concerned respondents are directed to fill up the vacancies in the concerned posts in accordance with the statutes/rules and consider the claim of the petitioners for promotion to such posts. This shall be done as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within two months from the date of receipt of a copy of the judgment. It is made clear that if any of the petitioners have retired during the pendency of this writ petition, their W.P.(C).No. 13011 of 2012 2 claims shall also be considered, moulding the relief in appropriate manner.
