JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.01.2017 for issuance of patta with respect to the Government Poramboke land measuring 2.50 acres comprised in S.No.11/1, Alathur Village, Cheyyar Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District.
2. Mrs.K.Bhuvaneswari, learned Government Advocate taking notice for the respondents, submitted that the respondents may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders in accordance with law.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has given his representation as early as on 12.01.2017, the respondents have not considered the same yet.
4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.01.2017 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With this observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
