For Petitioner : Mr.R.Rajarajan For Respondent : Mr.C.Emalias, APP (Pondy) ORDER This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation and file the final report in Crime No.243 of 2015 pending on his file.
2. The case of the petitioner is that on the basis of the complaint lodged by one M.Ethiraj, a case in Crime No.243 of 2015 was registered against him for the alleged offence punishable under Section 420 IPC. Though the complaint was registered on 15.10.2015, till date, final report was not filed. But, the respondent, at the instigation of the defacto complainant, is harassing the petitioner and his relatives, without issuing any summons. Hence, this petition.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Pondy), who took notice for the respondent.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent police to investigate the case in Crime No.243 of 2015 pending on his file and file a final report as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is ordered.
