The sole prayer made in the instant petition is for issuing direction to the court below to decide divorce petition No.661 of 2015 (New No.443 of 2017), expeditiously.
The petition for divorce has been preferred by the petitioner under Section 2 of the Dissolution of Muslim Marriages Act, 1939. A perusal of order sheet reveals that the case is posted for recording of evidence and disposal of certain misc. applications.
As the matter is pending since the year 2015, the court below is directed to make serious endeavour to decide the proceedings expeditiously by fixing short dates and without granting unnecessary adjournments.
