The instant petition has been filed for a direction upon the court concerned to decide Marriage Petition No.671 of 2017, under Section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act, within a stipulated period.
From the order sheet of the case it appears that the opposite party has not yet put in appearance in the proceeding and on the last three dates, either the lawyers were on strike or the court was lying vacant.
Under the circumstances, it would not be appropriate to issue any specific direction for disposal of the said proceeding. It is expected that the court concerned shall endeavour to bring the proceedings to its logical conclusion in accordance with law, by keeping in mind the provisions of Section 21-B of the Hindu Marriage Act.
With the aforesaid observation, the petition is disposed off.
