Heard counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel.
The petitioner is a Gram Pradhan. He wants a gunner for his security and in this connection, he has submitted a representation dated 17.05.2018 to the District Magistrate, Bulandshahr.
It may be noted that the facility of gunner is not to be provided only as a matter of status, until and unless there is a serious threat perception.
The application for any such security has to be considered by the District Authorities in accordance with the Government Order dated 01.01.2016.
In view of the above, we dispose of this petition with the direction to the District Magistrate, Bulandshahr, respondent No.6 to get the above representation of the petitioner dealt with in accordance with the aforesaid Government Order by the appropriate Committee or the Authority most expeditiously, if possible, within three months.
The petition is disposed of.
