Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.
The writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:-
" (1)Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no.2 to decide the stay application as well as Appeal No.813/2020 (Computer No.C- 202013000000813 (Satya Pal Vs. State) on 12.10.2020 within stipulated and reasonable period."
It has been submitted that although three months have been passed, since the petitioner has filed an appeal against the order passed under Section 3/4 of the U.P. Goondas Act, 1970, nothing has been done therein.
Under the circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent no.2 to endeavour to decide the appeal of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of the certified copy of this order is filed before him.
