By way of filing these petitions, the petitioners have prayed for a direction to the respondent to release the increments for the period from 1996 to 2000. In view of the settled legal position of law that an employee cannot, as a matter of right, claim the benefit of advance increment.

Therefore, the present petitions cannot be entertained. Hence, the same stand dismissed.
