Madras High Court|13 November, 2017

JUDGMENT / ORDER

These writ petitions have been filed by the petitioners, seeking to direct the second respondent to sanction the educational loan to the sons of the petitioners.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side.
3. It is the case of the petitioners that they approached the respondent Bank seeking educational loan to their sons. But the respondent Bank refused even to issue loan application form to them. Thereafter, they sent representations to the respondents on 21.03.2017, seeking loan. Since there was no response from the second respondent on the said representations, they are before this Court.
4.The learned Counsel appearing for the second respondent has submitted that the petitioners have not filed the required application form for sanctioning loan to them. He also submitted that as and when the petitioners file their loan applications in a proper format, the same will be considered, on merits.
5. Under such circumstances, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the petitioners to submit their proper loan application forms to the second respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on such filing, the second respondent is directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks, thereafter.
6. These writ petitions are disposed of as above. No costs.
