For Petitioners : Mr.E.Kannadasan For Respondent : Mr.C.Emalias, APP ORDER The petitioners, who apprehend arrest for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 294(b) and 323 IPC and Sections 3(1)(r) and 3(1)(s) of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2015 and Section 3 of the Tamil Nadu Public Property (Prevention of Damage and Loss) Act, 1992, seek a direction to the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Vellore, Vellore District to consider and dispose of their bail application that will be filed by them under Section 439 of Cr.P.C. on the same day of their surrender before him in connection with Cr.No. 177 of 2017 on the file of the respondent.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who took notice for the respondent.
3. Considering the nature of the prayer sought for and taking note of the fact that the petitioners are prepared to surrender before the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Vellore, Vellore District, there shall be a direction to the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Vellore, Vellore District to accept the surrender of the petitioners and consider their bail petitions on the very same day purely on the basis of merits and pass appropriate orders, in the event of the petitioners' surrendering before the said Court within 15 days from today and filing of petitions seeking bail.
4. The criminal original petition is ordered accordingly.
