JUDGMENT / ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the Kerala Water Authority, apart from perusing the record. Since the issue lies in a narrow compass, this Court proposes to dispose of the writ petition at the admission stage itself. 2. Briefly stated, the petitioner, having retired from the service of the respondent Water Authority on 30.11.2012 as Draftsman Grade I, filed the present writ petition complaining of the delay on the part of the respondent in paying the arrears of DCRG to a tune of ` 1,78,862/-.
3. The learned Standing Counsel, on instructions, has admitted the claim of the petitioner, but has pleaded one month's time for settling the said dues.
Having regard to the submission of the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent Water Authority, this Court W.P.(C) No.31840/2014 -2-
disposes of the writ petition with a direction to the respondent to pay the admitted dues to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. If required, the petitioner shall produce a copy of the judgment before the authorities concerned to enable the respondent to settle the issue at the earliest.
