JUDGMENT / ORDER

Ashok Bhushan, Ag.C.J.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Government Pleader. No notice is being issued to respondents 5, 6 and 7 in view of the order which is being passed.
2. By this petition the petitioners have prayed for a mandamus directing respondents 1 to 4 to afford adequate and effective police protection for the life of the petitioners and their workers of the driving school from the threat of respondents 5, 6 and 7. Petitioners case is that the driving school is being run without permission from the Regional Transport Officer. Allegations have been made against 5th respondent who is the landlord and others are his supporters. It is submitted that an incident took place on 17.07.2014 and thereafter on 25.10.2014 whereby the private respondents created obstruction and damaged the property of the petitioner.

3. Learned Government Pleader after obtaining instructions submitted that a crime has already been registered which is under investigation. He further submits that police authorities shall ensure that no law and order problem arises with regard to the petitioners' driving school. He submits that the petitioner may give appropriate information to respondent Nos.3 and 4 in that regard, if it is required. We observe that police authorities shall maintain law and order situation in the area.
With the above observation, the Writ Petition is closed.
