Grievance of the petitioner is that an application for providing security is pending before the Divisional Level Security Committee since 15.02.2017 and there is serious threat to his life and property, hence it is just and proper to take appropriate decision on the said application expeditiously.
Considering the facts of the case, we dispose of the writ petition by commanding the respondent no.2, Chairman, Divisional Level Security Committee to convene a meeting in this matter and to take appropriate decision in respect to the application/ representation made by the petitioner seeking security, in accordance with law, by a reasoned and speaking order within a period of four weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this order before him.
