JUDGMENT / ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for the respondent, apart from perusing the record. Since the issue lies in a narrow compass, this Court proposes to dispose of the writ petition at the admission stage itself. 2. The petitioner, the registered owner of a stage carriage bearing No. KL 2 M/4444, submitted Ext.P1 application for temporary permit on the route Chathannoor High School-Varkala. The petitioner has approached this Court with a prayer to direct the respondent to grant and issue temporary permit to the petitioner's stage carriage No. KL 2 M/4444 on the route Chathannoor High School -Varkala.
If no other person having better claim has applied for a temporary permit to operate a stage carriage in the aforesaid route, there shall be a direction to the respondent to issue a W.P.(C). No. 28871/2014 -2-
temporary permit of four months duration within one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment by passing appropriate orders on Ext.P1. Needless to say, such issuance of temporary permit will be subject to the preferential claim, if any.
This writ petition is disposed of as above.
