JUDGMENT / ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to give adequate medical treatment at Madras Medical College and Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital, to the petitioner, who was detained under the Goondas Act in the Central Prison, Puzhal, Prison-II, based on his representation dated 03.03.2017.

2. When this Criminal Original Petition came up before this Court on 15.03.2017, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent, submitted that the petitioner will be given medical treatment on 17.03.2017. Recording the said statement, the matter was directed to be posted on 21.03.2017 for reporting compliance as regards medical treatment.
3. Today, when this matter came up, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the prayer of the petitioner for medical treatment, has been met with by the respondent.
4. In view of the above submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, no further orders are required to be passed in this Criminal Original Petition. Hence, recording the statement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
