JUDGMENT / ORDER

These Criminal Original Petitions have been filed to call for the records in CC Nos.5464 of 2013 and 3203 of 2015 on the file of the learned XIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai and quash the same.
2. Today, the petitioners in both the petitions along with their counsel on record and the second respondent / defacto complainant, who is one and the same in both the petitions, are present. Their identities have been verified. They have submitted that the dispute between them has been amicably settled. When this Court enquired the parties, particularly, the second respondent / defacto complainant, about the factum of compromise and the terms of the compromise, he admitted the same. He also expressed no objection in quashing the criminal proceedings pending against the petitioners herein. A separate affidavit dated 03.03.2017, duly signed by the second respondent, has been filed to that effect.
3. In view of the above, both the criminal original petitions are allowed and the criminal proceedings in C.C.Nos.5464 of 2013 and 3203 of 2015 on the file of the learned XIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai, pending against the petitioners herein, are quashed. The affidavits dated 03.03.2017 filed by the second respondent are taken on record.
