JUDGMENT / ORDER

The first petitioner's vehicle bearing Registration No.KL-24- A-1297, the 2nd petitioner's vehicle bearing Registration No. KL- 23A-3663 and the 3rd petitioner's vehicle bearing registration No.KL-29-C-6516 have been seized alleging transportation of red earth without permit. The FIR was registered against the petitioners. It seems that, besides the offences under Kerala Mines and Minerals (Regulation of Development) Act 1957, the petitioners also committed offences under Kerala Police Act 2011. The petitioners request that the respondent may be directed to report seizure of the vehicles before the competent jurisdictional Magistrate. 2. In view of the limited request made by the petitioners, the respondent shall report about the seizure of the petitioners' vehicles before the competent jurisdictional Magistrate within three days from the date of receipt of this judgment. If the petitioners move before the jurisdictional Magistrate for interim W.P.(C) No.29841/2014 2 custody of their vehicles, that shall be considered by the learned Magistrate within ten days of receipt of such applications from the petitioners.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
