Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned AGA for the State.
Only prayer made in the instant petition is for a direction to the Investigating Officer to complete investigation in Case Crime No. 69 of 2020 within a specified time frame.
The petitioner is first informant and victim of the incident. Her statement under Section 164 CrPC is stated to have been recorded long back. However thereafter, no further progress has been made in the investigation.
Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, we dispose of the instant petition with direction to respondent no. 3 to ensure that the investigation is concluded expeditiously, preferably within a period of six months from the date of production of a true attested copy of the instant order.
