JUDGMENT / ORDER

Mohanan, J.
The above writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India by one Saraswathi, who is the wife of the 5th respondent, with a prayer to issue a writ of habeas corpus order commanding respondents 1 to 4 to produce the corpus of the detenue called 'Pavan', the son of the petitioner as well as the 5th respondent.
2. In pursuant to the direction issued by this Court on 12/11/2014 when the above writ petition was admitted, the detenue was produced before this Court on 19/11/2014 and we have interacted with the child as well as with the petitioner and the 5th respondent. During our interaction with them and in the light of the submissions made by the counsel for the contesting parties, we thought that there is every possibility to settle the dispute between the contesting parties and, therefore, we directed them to undergo for mediation on 19/11/2014 itself and also directed to post the matter before this Court on this date and the 5th respondent was directed to produce the child today.
3. Thus, when the matter is taken up today, the 5th W.P(Crl.)467/14-S :2:
respondent produced the child and the counsel appearing for both sides submitted that as directed by this Court on 19/11/2014 the parties have undergone the process of mediation and thereby the entire dispute has been settled. The Nodal Officer by his letter No.2007 dated 22/11/2014 forwarded the report of the Mediator to this Court.
4. The Mediator has reported that the matter was mediated and settled and he had forwarded the memorandum of settlement filed under Section 89 of the Code of Civil Procedure read with Rules 24 & 25 of the Civil Procedure (Alternative Dispute Resolution), Rules, 2008. We have perused the terms and conditions stipulated therein. The said agreement and settlement forms part of the writ petition and this judgment. As the parties have settled the dispute, we are of the view that this writ petition can be closed in terms of the settlement referred above.
The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
