JUDGMENT / ORDER

Shaffique, J Petitioner has approached this court seeking police protection. It is alleged that respondents 6 to 9 are causing threat and she apprehended bodily injury and loss of life. 2. Respondents had filed counter affidavit inter alia stating that husband and son of the petitioner is involved in several crimes and the writ petition is an abuse of process of court.
3. The learned State Attorney submits that when the police made enquiry with reference to the complaint of the petitioner, the petitioner appeared before the police and submitted that she did not require any police protection. Learned counsel however, submits that the dispute between the petitioner and the party respondents is regarding drawing of water from the petitioner’s residence and the matter is pending before the District Collector.
Having regard to the aforesaid fact, we do not think that this WP(c) No.26800/12 2 is an instance in which a direction as sought for can be granted. However we make it clear that if there is any offence committed or attempt to commit any offence, it shall be open for the petitioner to make a complaint before the police, who shall look into the matter and take appropriate action.
The party respondents shall also be at liberty to approach the police if any offence is committed against them.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
