1. Heard learned counsel for the applicant and learned A.G.A for the State.
2. This application under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been filed seeking direction to the court below for early decision of Sessions Trial No. 566 of 2017 (State Vs. Arvind), arising out of Case Crime No. 381 of 2016, under Sections- 493, 376, 504, 506 I.P.C., Police Station- Cantt., District- Allahabad, pending before the Additional Sessions Judge, Fast Track Court-20, Allahabad.

Learned counsel for the applicant submits that while the occurrence is of the year February, 2016, the charge sheet itself was submitted on 06.01.2017 and thereafter charges were framed on 31.07.2017. However, the trial proceedings are being delayed for reasons that may not be attributed to the parties. In any case, it has been submitted that statement of prosecutrix has been recorded and few more witnesses of fact remain to be examined.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the present application is disposed of with a direction to the court below to decide the aforesaid case in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, without granting any unnecessary or long adjournments to either of the parties, preferably within a period of one year from the date of production of a certified copy of this order, if there is no other legal impediment.
