Heard Shri Prabhat Kumar Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned standing counsel for the respondents no. 1 to 4 and Shri M.K. Yadav, learned counsel appearing for the respondent no. 6.
The petitioners in the writ petition are seeking a direction to the respondents to remove the respondent no. 5 from the post of Gram Pradhan of the Village Sawayan, P.O. Sarapataha Block Suitha Kala District Jaunpur. A complaint in this regard is stated to have been filed by the petitioner on affidavit on 30.1.2018, Annexure-4 to the writ petition addressed to the District Magistrate, Jaunpur.
No useful purpose would be served in keeping this writ petition pending.
This writ petition is therefore disposed of with a direction to the respondent no. 2-District Magistrate, Jaunpur to examine the matter and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order.
It is made clear that this court has not adjudicated the claim of the petitioner on merit.
