Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.
The present petition has been filed for a direction upon the District and Session Judge, Mirzapur to decide the election petition No. UPMIo10012732018 (309/18) EP/01/2018 (Santosh Singh Vs. Suresh Dubey and others) within a stipulated period.
Sri Mahesh Kumar Dubey has put in appearance on behalf of respondent No. 3 has informed that this election petition has been filed on 16.03.2018 and District Judge, Mirzapur has proceeded in the matter in accordance with law. This fact is undisputed that the election petition was filed just before two months, therefore, though there is no inordinate delay on the part of learned District Judge in deciding the election petition. Therefore, there is no reason to issue any such direction to the District Judge for early disposal of election petition. It is expected from the District Judge that the petition shall be decided expeditiously without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.
The writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
