1. The petitioner's appeal filed before the Commissioner, Agra Division, Agra being Appeal No. 44 of 2009 against the order cancelling the petitioner's fire arm license passed by the District Magistrate-Agra dated 22.10.2009 is stated to be pending for unduly long period of time.
3. Without entering into merits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no.1-Commissioner, Agra Division, Agra to decide the petitioner's appeal, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order by a reasoned and speaking order after affording due opportunity of hearing to all necessary parties.
