The present writ petition, inter alia, has been filed with the following prayer:
"(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to conclude enquiry pending against the petitioner and to make payment of the arrears of salary of suspension period to the petitioner within specified period."
The contention of the counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner was placed under suspension and an enquiry was initiated against him. Although the petitioner has been reinstated, the dues payable to the petitioner during the period of suspension has not been paid and the enquiry is also not being concluded, and the same is said to be pending before the Respondent No. 2, District Basic Education Officer.
Considering the fact that the matter is already engaging the attention of the Respondent No. 2, the present writ petition is disposed off with a direction upon the Respondent No. 2 to consider the claims of arrears payment of the petitioner and also decide the enquiry, if any, pending against the petitioner as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of three months from the date of filing of a copy of this order.
This order has been passed in the presence of Sri Ashok Kumar Singh, Advocate appearing on behalf of the Respondents No. 2 and 3.
