Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel for the respondents. The instant writ petition has been filed seeking following relief:
"(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the impugned challans dated 15.10.2019, 29.10.2019, 10.11.2019, 15.11.2019, 06.12.2019, 13.12.2019, 19.12.2019, 05.01.2020, 08.01.2020, 17.02.2020, 23.02.2020, 26.02.2020, 29.02.2020, 11.03.2020, 11.03.2020, 19.03.2020, 20.03.2020, 28.06.2020, 7.8.2020, 8.9.2020 and 10.9.2020 and total amounts of receipts come Rs. 67,300/- (only sixty seven thousand three hundred).
(ii) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no. 3 to renew registration and fitness certificate of vehicle/bus bearing UP 50CT/1447 of the petitioner forthwith.
(iii) pass any other suitable writ, order or direction which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case.
(iv) award the cost of writ petition in favour of petitioner."
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as many as 21 challans have been issued against the petitioner in respect of the vehicle. However, the petitioner is ready to deposit the amount of challan and hence the respondent no. 2 may be directed to consider the representation for the renewal of the registration certificate and fitness certificate.
Learned Standing counsel submits that in case the petitioner moves a representation before the respondent no. 2 the same shall be considered and appropriate order shall be passed within time as may be granted by this Hon'ble Court.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this writ petition is disposed of with the direction that the petitioner shall move a representation within two weeks, which shall be considered by the respondent no. 2 within a period of four weeks therefrom who shall take an appropriate decision in accordance with law.
