The only prayer in this petition is for a direction to the court concerned to consider the bail application to be filed by the petitioner on the date of his surrender in the light of the decision reported in Sukumari v. State of Kerala (2001(1) K.L.T. 22). 2. The petitioner stands accused of having committed offences punishable under Sections 55(i) and 67(B) of the Kerala Abkari Act. It is unnecessary to go into the details of the case for the simple reason that the relief sought for is very limited.
After having given anxious consideration to the various aspects, this petition is disposed of directing the court concerned to consider and pass orders on the bail application to be filed by the petitioner on the date of surrender itself.
