Heard Shri Ranjeet Kumar Mishra, learned counsel for the petitioner and Shri Sheo Ram Singh, learned counsel for the respondents.
The petitioner in the writ petition is seeking a direction to the respondents to make payment of insurance amount with interest.
It appears that there was an award of the labour court in favour of the petitioner, which was challenged by the respondents in Writ Petition No.63034 of 2013 (Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation Vs. Sant Kumar Gupta and Another). This Writ Petition was disposed of by the High Court vide order dated 23.03.2017 with a direction to the respondents to finalize/pay the retiral dues within two months. If the retiral dues of the petitioner have not been paid the remedy is to get the award executed by the labour court. The High Court is not the executing court of the award of the labour court.
The writ petition lacks merit and is accordingly dismissed.
