The petitioner had approached this Court complaining about the inaction on the part of the Village Officer in not receiving land tax of his property on the ground that there is court attachment. This issue is covered by a decision of this Court reported in Joseph Kurian v. Village Officer (2010(3) KLT 251). Having regard to the aforesaid decision, the Village Officer ought to have received the land tax in respect of the petitioner's property irrespective of the order of attachment. Hence this writ petition is disposed of as under:
The first respondent is directed to receive land tax in respect of petitioner's property without referring to the order of attachment.
