JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioners, who apprehend arrest for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 341, 294(b), 323, 506(ii) IPC r/w 3(1)(r), 3(1)(s) and 3(2)(va) of SC/ST Amendment Act 2015 in Crime No.116 of 2017 on the file of the respondent, have filed this petition seeking a direction to the learned Special Judge (PCR cases) / Principal Sessions Judge, Cuddalore, to consider their bail applications on the same day on merits.
2. Mr.C.Emalias, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, takes notice for the respondent.
3. Heard both sides.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the learned Special Judge (PCR cases) / Principal Sessions Judge, Cuddalore, is directed to accept the surrender of the petitioners and consider their bail applications on the very same day purely on the basis of merits and to pass suitable orders, in the event of the petitioners surrendering before the said court within 15 days from today and filing of petitions seeking bail.
5. This petition is ordered accordingly.
