Heard learned counsel for the parties.
Petitioner is working as Village Development Officer at Vikas Khand Babina, District Jhansi. In view of medical treatment of his wife, petitioner has requested readjustment of his posting within the district, consequently, on an application made by the petitioner, the Block Development Officer, Babina, Jhansi duly recommended his case to the fifth respondent vide communication dated 20 January 2018. It is urged that the matter is pending before the fifth respondent.
Learned Standing Counsel would submit that the fifth respondent shall take necessary decision thereon, expeditiously.
In regard thereto, without entering into the merit of the case, as well as, rival contentions raised by the respective parties, it is provided that the fifth respondent, District Panchayat Raj Officer, Jhansi shall consider and decide the application of the petitioner by passing a reasoned and speaking order, in accordance with law, preferably within two weeks from the date of filing of certified copy of this order and a copy of the writ petition along with annexures.
With the aforementioned observations/direction, the writ petition is finally disposed of.
