Heard Sri Siddharth Singhal, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned standing counsel for the respondents.
The petitioner in the writ petition is seeking a directing to the respondents to reimburse an amount of Rs. 27,61,135/- being difference amount of tax in pursuance of Government Order dated 23.10.2017.
No useful purpose will be served by keeping the matter pending.
We, therefore, dispose of this writ petition with the direction that if the petitioner prefers a fresh representation before the Chief Engineer, Public Works Department Kanpur Circle, Kanpur, respondent no.3 along with a certified copy of this order within 15 days from today in respect of the relief claimed herein, the respondent no.3 shall consider and decide the claim of the petitioner in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within a further period of 3 months.
It is made clear that the Court has not adjudicated the claim of the petitioner on merits.
