By the impugned order an application, filed by the petitioners that the parties to the proceedings under section 161 of the U.P. Zamindari Abolition and Land Reforms Act be not permitted to enter into a compromise regarding the land for which there was an agreement to sell in his favour, has been rejected.
Learned counsel for the petitioners has relied on a decision of Hon'ble the Supreme Court in Kancherla Lakshminarayana Vs. Mattaparthi Syamala and others, reported in [2008 (2) ARC 518] in support of his contention that he is not a stranger and, therefore, entitled to make the said prayer.
Let notices be issued to respondent nos. 2 and 3 by registered post A/D.
Steps may be taken within a week.
Until further orders, the operation of the impugned order dated 25.10.2013 shall remain stayed.
