By means of the present petition, the petitioners seek to quash the first information report dated 22.06.2021 registered in Case Crime No.24 of 2021 under Section 504 & 506 IPC & 3/4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, Police Station Mahila Thana, District Jhansi.
From a perusal of the first information report, it cannot be said that it does not disclose commission of a cognizable offence.
The correctness of the allegations or the genuineness of the complaint cannot be examined within the scope of the Article 226 of the Constitution of India.
The contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that all the allegations are false and concocted, therefore, cannot be looked into.
Any interference at this stage may impede the process of speedy investigation.
The writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
