Heard Shri Ajay Kumar Jagdish, learned counsel for the petitioners, who are 25 in number, learned standing counsel for the respondents no. 1 to 3 and Shri B.N. Yadav, learned counsel appearing for the respondent no. 4.
The petitioner in the writ petition is seeking a direction to the respondents to pay the arrears of the honorarium for the period from August, 2015 to September, 2017 and also continue to pay them monthly honorarium as due month to month. In respect of their claim the petitioners are stated to have preferred a representation, Annexure-2 to the writ petition, before the respondent no. 2-Director ,Literacy/Saksharta (Vakalpik Education) Urdu Evam Prachya Bhashaim, Lucknow, which is stated to have been received in the office of the respondent no. 2 on 3.10.2016.
No useful purpose would be served in keeping this writ petition pending.
This is writ petition is therefore disposed of with a direction to the respondent no. 2-Director,Literacy/Saksharta (Vakalpik Education) Urdu Evam Prachya Bhashaim, Lucknow to consider the claim of the petitioners and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order.
Alongwith certified copy of this order, the petitioner shall also provide a copy of his representation to the respondent no. 2.
It is made clear that the court has not adjudicated the claim of the petitioner on merit.
