Sanapala Rama Krishna … Petitioner and The Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Ltd., and others … Respondents THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION NO.17467 OF 2012 O R D E R The grievance of the petitioner was as to the action of the Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited (APEPDCL) in not considering his case for promotion to the post of Line-Inspector. By interim order dated 31.08.2012, this Court directed the APEPDCL to consider his case for promotion to the said post as per his eligibility in accordance with law.
Though a vacate petition was filed by APEPDCL and its officers in W.V.M.P. No.3199 of 2012 to vacate the said order, it is stated by Sri P. Anand Seshu, learned standing counsel for the APEPDCL, that the petitioner was not found eligible to be considered for promotion and further, he has also retired from service upon attaining the age of superannuation.
In that view of the matter, the cause in this writ petition does not survive for consideration on merits. The writ petition is accordingly closed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
