JUDGMENT / ORDER

Petition filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. 2. Petitioner is the accused in Crime No.1468/2014 of Venjaramoodu Police Station registered for the offences punishable under Sections 55(a) (b) and (i) of the Abkari Act.
3. The allegation against the petitioner is that on 21.9.2014, a quantity of 21 litres of Indian Made Foreign Liquor was seized from his motor bike, which was therein in his possession. On seeing the police party, he ran away from the place where the motor bike was parked. He was arrested on 29.10.2014 and thereafter, he has been in custody.
4. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Public Prosecutor. The contents of the C.D. Prima facie reveal the complicity of the petitioner. The contraband involved in this case B.A.8069 of 2014 2 is a huge quantity of Indian Made Foreign Liquor. Considering the seriousness of the allegation against the petitioner and the present stage of investigation, I am of the view that the petitioner is not entitled to be enlarged on bail, at present.
In the result, this bail application is dismissed.
