JUDGMENT / ORDER

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Petition filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. 2. Petitioners are accused Nos.3 and 4 respectively in Crime No.382/2014 of Panamaram Police Station, Wayanad district, registered for the offence punishable under Section 55(a) of the Abkari Act.
3. The allegation against the petitioners is that on 24.08.2014 at 6.30 a.m. they were found transporting 630 litres of spirit by vehicle bearing registration No.KL.01AY.9070. The petitioners were arrested on 10.10.2014 and thereafter they have been in custody.
4. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Public Prosecutor and perused the CD.
5. The contents of the CD, prima facie, reveal the complicity of the petitioners. It has come out that the BA.7830/2014 : 2 :
contraband was being transported from the State of Karnataka. The investigation has a long way to go. The allegations against the petitioners are very grave and serious. Considering the seriousness of the allegations against the petitioners, the present stage of investigation and the huge quantity of contraband involved, I am of the view that the petitioners are not entitled to be enlarged on bail.
In the result, this Bail Application is dismissed.
