----------------------- The petitioner’s vehicle bearing No.KL 59/B 600 has been seized alleging transportation of river sand without valid permit. The petitioner’s case is that this is ‘Mortar’ and not river sand. The petitioner seeks the release of vehicle.
2. In view of the pendency of proceedings before the 2nd respondent, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to take a decision after adverting to petitioner’s objection that it is only a ‘Mortar’ within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
