JUDGMENT / ORDER

This petition has been filed to permit the petitioner and the Defacto complainant to compound the offences in C.C.No.4214 of 2012 on the file of learned V Metropolitan Magistrate, Allikulam, Chennai and quash the same.
2. The petitioners/accused, in C.C.No.4214 of 2012, on the file of the learned V Metropolitan Magistrate, Allikulam, Chennai, have been charged for the offence under Sections 147, 148, 341, 324 and 506(ii) r/w 149 IPC. Pending trial, now the petitioners/accused and defacto complainant/2nd respondent have entered into compromise and therefore the petitioners filed the present petition to compound the offences.
3. The second respondent/defacto complainant filed an affidavit before this Court stating that they have amicably settled the issue with the accused and there is no dispute prevailing as on date. Today, both the defacto complainant and his mother are present before this Court and they also stated that the accused are neighbors and out of some provocation, the occurrence taken has place. Now, they are intending to settle the dispute between themselves and they don't want to contest the criminal case. Today, all the accused are also present before this Court.
4. In view of the fact that the parties have settled the issue between themselves and since the offence under Sections 147, 148, 341, 324 and 506(ii) r/w 149 IPC are compoundable in nature, the proceedings in C.C.No.4214 of 2012 pending on the file of the learned V Metropolitan Magistrate, Allikulam, Chennai,is quashed.
