This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking quashment of FIR dated 15.9.2020 in respect of Crime No.418/2020 for the offence under Sections 505 (2) of IPC and Section 67 of Information Technology (Amendment) Act, 2008, P.S. Daurala, District Meerut.
Counsel for the petitioner submits that he is not pressing the relief of quashment of FIR. He, however, submits that purpose of filing this petition would be served if a direction is issued to the police authorities to conduct fair and impartial investigation.
State Counsel submits that there is no reason for the petitioner to urge that investigation would not be done fairly and impartially. He further submits that even otherwise, police is obliged to do the investigation fairly, impartially and in accordance with law.
Considering the submissions made by the parties, in particular the State, we find no reason to entertain the present petition. The same is, accordingly, dismissed, without observing anything on merit.
The party shall file a computer generated copy of this order downloaded from the official website of High Court Allahabad, self-attested by the petitioner, along with a self-attested identify proof of the said person (s) (preferably Aadhar Card).
The concerned Court/Authority/Official shall verify the authenticity of such computerized copy of the order from the official website of High Court Allahabad and shall make a declaration of such verification in writing.
