Petitioner is the 2nd accused in Crime No.19 of 2013 of the Vatakara Excise Range Office for the offences punishable under Sections 55(a), 58 and 67(B) of the Kerala Abkari Act for alleged possession and transportation of 135 liters of IMFL meant for sale in Pondicherry State alone on 14.02.2013, is in custody since 02.06.2014 and seeks bail.
2. Learned Public Prosecutor has opposed the application. It is submitted that the contraband was seized from the possession of the petitioner. It is submitted that the petitioner is involved in 5 other cases of similar nature.
3. Learned counsel has requested for bail.
4. Having regard to the relevant circumstances and as investigation is not completed, request for bail cannot be allowed at this stage.
Application is dismissed.
