Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned standing counsel who represents respondent nos.1, 2 and 3.
With the consent of the parties, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.
The sole submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the respondent no.4 was declared successful in the election, which was held for the post of Gram Pradhan in the month of December 2015.
The petitioner has filed an election petition, which is registered as Election Petition No. 3/15-16 (Smt.Sajida Begum vs. State of U.P. and others), under Section 12(G) of U.P. Panchayat Raj Act in the months of January 2016.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that entire material is available with the respondent no.2, the District Election Officer however, the reasons best known to the respondent, no final decision is yet taken.
In view of the aforesaid background, this court disposes of the present writ petition by directing the respondent no.2 to decide the above mentioned election petition preferably within a period of two month from the date a certified copy of this order is produced. It is clear that no unnecessary adjournments be allowed to either of the parties.
It is clarified that this Court has not adjudicated upon the merits of the claim as raised by the petitioner in the present writ petition.
