The petitioner is one of the accused in C.C. No.544/2013 pending before the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court-II Kollam. Offences alleged are under sections 143, 147, 148, 452 and 427 r/w 149 of IPC.
2. The case was originally filed as C.C. No.1033/2001. The case against A5 and A7 was split up and refiled as C.C. No.544/2013. Other accused who faced trial were acquitted after trial by the learned Magistrate.
2. The 1st respondent is the defacto complainant.
She is represented in this court by her counsel. She has filed affidavit stating that the entire matter has been settled out of court and that she does not want to proceed with the matter.

3. In the light of the settlement so arrived at, further proceedings as against this petitioner in C.C. No.544/2013 pending before the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court-II Kollam, is quashed.
