Heard learned counsel for the parties.
The present petition has been filed for the following relief:
"(a) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing to the respondent no. 2 to issue the Arm licence of NPB 315 bore rifle to the petitioner for the protection of his personal life and property as well as his family members."
It is argued that the police report as already been filed and in terms of the Rule 13 of the Arms Rules, it is incumbent that the application be decided within a period of one month.
Considering the limited submission, the District Magistrate is directed to decide the arm licence application of the petitioner expeditiously, preferably within a period of four months, from the date of production of a certificated copy of this order.
The writ petition is disposed off in terms of the order passed above.
