The petitioner despatched 247 bags of Arecanut weighed 16,000 kgs to the consignee M/s.V.J.Enterprises, Nagpur. The petitioner's vehicle and goods detained at the Commercial Tax Check Post at Walayar noticing discrepancies in the delivery note and for the purpose of release of the vehicle and goods, the petitioner is directed to deposit security deposit of `1,50,000/- (Rupees one lakh and fifty thousand only). 2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader.
3. Having adverted to Ext.P2 and Ext.P4, I am of the prima facie opinion that the discrepancies pointed out in Ext.P3 can only be a typing error. On account of the fact that there shall be a direction to the second respondent to release the vehicle and goods detained to the petitioner on executing a simple bond without sureties.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
