Petitioner's vehicle bearing registration No.KL60E 7547 has been seized for transporting river sand without permit. According to the petitioner, what was transported was only ordinary sand. Therefore, petitioner requested the Revenue Divisional Officer to collect sample and send for a report from the Analyst.
2. In view of the above, the second respondent is directed to collect sample and forward the sample for analysis by the third respondent, which shall be done within a period of two weeks. The third respondent shall send the Analyst's report to the second respondent within a further period of two weeks. Thereafter, on receipt of the report from the third respondent, the second respondent shall finalise the proceedings within a further period of two weeks based on the report received from the third respondent.
Writ Petition is disposed of as above.
